Continents and Oceans

We have been studying maps during social studies.  The kids have been really excited to learn about the world.  They learned a song to help them learn the continent's names and I think they can list the ocean's names as well.  They will also need to be able to identify each continent and ocean on a blank map of the world.  A study sheet should have come home last week.  Some students said they misplaced theirs so I will get them a new one.  We'll take the test on Thursday.  We are also learning about our great state of Minnesota.  Look for a Minnesota fact sheet to come home later in the week.  They will need to study it and be able to name things like the state flower, tree, fish, muffin and drink.
